Job Description:

2026 Summer Analyst Application Instructions

On each individual application, you will be asked if you are applying to more roles for the current season. As you complete your final application, answer "no" to this question. This will trigger a task to rank your applications in order of interest. Your application(s) will be incomplete until the ranking is accurately submitted, so please follow the instructions carefully. Be sure you have no more tasks to submit in your Candidate Home, as the task will be sent back to you if you did not submit correctly. You're welcome to apply and be considered for more than one role, but we ask that you have a strong interest in each role/location to which you are applying. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as your resume is ready.

We are seeking exceptional Summer Analysts to join our Private Capital Advisory, Investment Banking team in New York. Analyst interns will join our highly collaborative team responsible for providing advisory services to private equity firms with a strong emphasis on secondary advisory engagements and capital raising for private equity sponsors. The team advises private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate sponsors with a focus on GP-led secondary transactions such as continuation funds, while also advising investors on structured LP secondary transactions such as collateralized fund obligations. Team members will have the opportunity to work across the bank with our various sector partners.

Guggenheim offers an unparalleled opportunity to work as part of small transaction teams on major strategic assignments providing meaningful exposure to senior bankers and client representatives. Candidates should be top performers who are willing to work hard in an unstructured environment where initiative, creativity, maturity, and enthusiasm for learning are highly valued.

Our 10-week internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in investment banking with an emphasis on secondary advisory for private equity sponsors. The program includes formal training, mentoring programs, networking and social events, community service events and a strategic advisory project that provide our interns with a unique experience and invaluable look into our culture and the investment banking business.

Interns become important members of our deal teams and work as a junior analyst on a variety of interesting strategic advisory assignments. You will have significant exposure to senior bankers, private equity sponsors, institutional investors as well as the ability to create meaningful relationships with junior bankers.

We aspire to continuously refresh and cultivate a culture of Innovation, Diversity, and Inclusion.  In a client services business like ours, our team members are the product, the service and the offering.  We will provide best-in-class Investment Banking training—formal and hands-on—as you develop your professional toolkit: process management, business acumen, financial analysis, data analysis, soft-selling and presentation skills, professional communication (verbal, written and virtual), negotiations, and more.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with exceptional quantitative and communication skills looking to jump-start their career through hands-on training and experience at a growing firm. The Investment Banking unit will source most of its full-time analyst class from the internship program.
