We are seeking exceptional Analyst Interns to join our Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Investment Banking team in Menlo Park. The team advises TMT clients on various financial transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity/equity-linked and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments. Key sub-sectors covered in the Menlo Park office include Cybersecurity Software, Infrastructure Software, Data and Analytics, Application Software, Vertical Software, and Enterprise Infrastructure and Systems. The team is rapidly growing and critically important and strategic to Guggenheim Securities.  Analyst interns will join our highly collaborative team providing advisory services to private equity firms and corporate clients with a strong emphasis on sell-side advisory engagements.

Our 10-week internship program is designed for students interested in pursuing a career in investment banking with an emphasis on the TMT and sell-side advisory. The program includes formal training, mentoring programs, networking and social events and community service events that provide our interns with a unique experience and invaluable look into our culture and the investment banking business. 

Interns become integral members of our deal teams and work as a junior analyst on a variety of interesting strategic advisory assignments. You will have significant exposure to senior bankers and client representatives and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with junior bankers.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with exceptional quantitative and communication skills looking to jump-start their career through hands-on training and experience at a growing firm. The Investment Banking unit will source most of its full-time analyst class from the internship program.

Essential Job Functions

• Support deal teams in developing, maintaining, and using complex financial models
• Perform various financial analyses, including valuation analyses, combination analyses and merger implications
• Perform comprehensive company and industry research and gain an in-depth understanding of sector trends, client challenges and strategies in order to develop innovative and creative solutions for our clients
• Create client pitches, software and enterprise thought pieces and management presentations
• Prepare client presentations and interact with senior bankers, clients, lawyers and accountants
• Participate in due diligence sessions, communication and interaction with deal team members
• Management of several projects at once and work effectively both individually and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Commitment to meet the demands of high volume and high-end client services
• Effective communicator: distinguished written and oral communications skills
• Must have a combination of strong quantitative and analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus
• Strong interest in problem solving and client services
• Exhibits resourcefulness, intellectual curiosity, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in finance
• Desire to join a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial platform
• Demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Significant level of maturity and the ability to work under pressure as a part of a small team with top company executives and senior management
• Highly organized and shows initiative and has the ability to multitask while working with limited supervision on a team

Basic Qualifications

• Must be on track to receive a Bachelor’s degree in December 2026 or Spring 2027

Salary Details

• A salary based on an annual rate of $110,000 per year
• The base salary amount represents the anticipated salary for this position. Actual base salaries may vary depending on factors such as location and experience. The salary listed reflects base salary only, and the total compensation package may include other components such as incentive compensation.
