What You’ll Be Doing

Summer Investment Banking Analysts at CIBC US Middle Market will work with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Directors, Associates and Analysts to continue to expand CIBC’s investment banking platform in the US. Summer Investment Banking Analysts will provide research and analysis and assist with the preparation of pitch presentations and execution of live transactions.  Summer Investment Banking Analysts will receive significant training and mentorship from the collective CIBC team and gain exposure to the Full-Time Analyst role.

  • You are enrolled in an undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline at the time of the internship
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 – June 2027.

  • Location: Milwaukee, WI. Please note all employees must reside within the United States. All CIBC student positions require you to be based in Milwaukee for the duration of the term
  • Duration of Work Term: 10 weeks (June 2026 – August 2026)

How You’ll Succeed

  • Conduct research on potential strategic and financial buyers for sell-side M&A transactions
  • Assemble leveraged buyout, comparable public company, precedent transaction, and discounted cash flow analyses
  • Assist with the preparation of transaction marketing materials, including confidential offering memoranda, teasers, and management presentations
  • Assist with ad-hoc financial analyses for pitches and transactions
  • Conduct industry research

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $105,000 for the Milwaukee, WI market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. Additional total compensation and benefits details will be provided during the hiring process.
